Organic "AGLIO ROSSO" Seed Garlic (PRE-ORDER)

Our desert island garlic. This variety is near to our hearts and utilized in every aspect of our own kitchen. Proclaimed by a Sicilian farmer as “THE MOTHER OF ALL GARLIC!”

This garlic seed has followed us on our farm journey from the sandy soil of the Northern California Coast, to the clay and snow of the Sierra Nevada foothills and finally to the rich loam of the Northern Sacramento Valley at our current farm in Chico. It has grown and adapted beautifully in all three climates & soil types.

The beauty of the cloves are unparalleled with shades of pink, purple and red. A Creole type that forms a harvestable scape yet has still been pliable enough to braid in our experience. The flavor is sweet and spicy and we’ve stored successfully for up to a year! Average size bulbs with 10-14 cloves per head.
